Checking out the thrive of the African Movie Industry both home and abroad, one can’t help but to have noticed, the antecedence of the multiple award winning Nigerian female Actor, Genevieve Nnaji.
The one time African Movie Academy – Best Actress winner was born in the Eastern part of Nigerian, Imo state Mbaise to be precise, she made her debut into the Nigerian Movie Industry as a child actor as early as age 8 in a popular TV soap opera titled “Ripples”,
Eleven years later, young Genevieve then fired a conscious shot at her acting career at age 19 in a block buster movie in 1998 titled “Most Wanted” which didn’t just only introduce her to the industry as she starts to fire with all guns the starring in over eighty Nollywood movies.
Following this feet, Genevieve who clocks 36 today 3 of May 2016 became one of the highest paid actress in Nollywood. Coupled with this, the celebrated actress further put her versatility to test as she ventured into modeling, singing and launched a clothing line “ST Genevieve” which donates its proceeds to charity.
As a model, Genevieve featured in several commercials for multinational brands, held run ways and red carpets to ransom on every occasion with her super catwalks.
All this achievements put together, has since been the major factor unlocking different door of success to Genevieve as she landed loads of endorsement deals across diverse product classes as her acting career little wonder Oprah Winfrey referred to her as Julia Roberts.
