Shortly after the herdsmen attacks early this year, you would recall that Buhari ordered the IGP to relocate to Benue state to directly ensure safety and security in the state. However, with the incessant attacks that rocked Benue state even after the order, can we assert the IGP did as ordered?
Interestingly, as if like a confirmation to the order given, President Buhari during his visit to Benue state yesterday said he didn’t realize the IGP flouted his orders. Making such revelation in the open, don’t you think this describes the poor relationship between the President and his subordinates?
Reading through reactions of this shocker on social media, many were of the opinion that Buhari might not even be aware of the real problem behind the abducted school girls. Giving reference to the past administration, Reno Omokri said in a tweet that Jonathan would have sacked the defaulting IGP if he didn’t do as ordered. In your opinion however, with this epileptic system of administration, can we use this poor performance as a basis to judge the Buhari administration in its entirety?
On the flip side however, for a defaulting IGP who did not value human lives to the point of ignoring the jot spot of crisis, do you think he is deserving of the current post he still occupies?
