There have been a number of blockbusters this year, we admit. From Girls’ Trip, to Thor: Ragnarok, IT, Justice League, so many. It’s been a good year for movies really. But in all this, some really good movies were overlooked. But that’s why we’re here, right? One movie we think is beautiful but was sorta overlooked this year is “The Autopsy of Jane Doe”.
The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016) – I am not easily scared but this movie was the first in a while to seriously have me on the edge of my seat. pic.twitter.com/TgPxMZxLm9

A body is discovered in the basement of a house with no external injuries whatsoever. No name, no identity, a typical Jane Doe. She’s taken into the morgue for an autopsy, and then things get very interesting.
The Autopsy of Jane Doe is a pretty lit horror movie, i m glad i watched it during daylight

We absolutely loved this movie. It has a beautiful storyline, and was beautifully executed. This movie drew a range of reactions from us – gasps, some little shrieks here and there, grabbing our seats, you know, stuff like that. There were no unnecessary scenes, every scene had something important to show us. It was well paced too.
Unlike most horror movies that take their time to build up to the horror part of it, the directors of this movie went right to it. In the first 30 minutes of it we could already feel the hairs rising on our skin, and it definitely wasn’t from cold or excitement.
However, we think the storyline could have been better exploited. We kinda expected a little more murder, you know, something to keep the goose bumps coming. The movie was a little too short, and the climax was over a little too quickly. Like they took us up a cliff and instead of riding down gently, they simply threw us off the cliff.
Really liked the first half of THE AUTOPSY OF JANE DOE. Leaned into the crime fiction trope of the autopsy. Methodical investigation, but slightly supernatural. Turned into something I didn’t dig as much in second half.

On the whole, it was a pretty good movie, and if you haven’t seen it yet, we strongly suggest you do so as soon as you can. You wouldn’t regret it, we promise.
The autopsy of Jane doe is pushing limits I didn’t think anyone had the balls to do…..was not expecting a movie like this. Damn.
