As much as you want to acknowledge the Nollywood stars who have maintained a constant appearance and great contribution to the industry in 2017, it will interest you to know that some other acts have been somewhat off the scene through the year 2017. For reasons best known to them, these acts have not given much to public appearance let alone feature in some productions in the year 2017.
Elvis chucks, who shifted base to South Africa some time ago has been off the scene in the year 2017. The nollywood actor who in the early days of his career starred in several sitcoms, soap operas and block buster movies has been off the spotlight in the year 2017. Asides his AMVCA award for the best South African movie of the year,the actor has not in any way created any buzz in Nollywood this year
Another Nollywood act who has not maintained much presence in the industry this year is Yemi Shodimu. The Nollywood veteran and on air personality has remained in the background in the industry this year, mentoring the youngsters and giving opportunities for new talents to flourish the Nigerian movie industry.
Clem Ohameze is also one of the few stars that have maintained a lowkey profile in 2017. The Nollywod star whose past jobs has carved out a niche for him in the industry did not do much to gain the spotlight in the year 2017.
Saint obi as well has been out of action in the year 2017. The old time emotional actor has been off the scene and has focused more on business for the past few years, he has however made few appearances at public functions during the year.
Star actor in waptv series “this life” and “odd world”, Sola Fosudo has also maintained a fairly constant presence in the Nigerian movie industry this year. Fosudo best known for his very effective facial expression in movies has not given much of “facetime” to the industry this year, he however remains one of the fore runners of the industry.
